Pride of Telon Guild Charter

Overview

We are guild of friends and family in the online world of Vanguard. Our roster is made up of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and our straight friends. We aim to provide a safe and fun atmosphere to enjoy the lands of Telon without worry of harassment or discrimination. We are not a gay only guild, we feel that such guilds are no better than those who would discriminate or exclude us. All are welcome to join as long as they agree to our charter.

Core Events

*NOTE: Do to game bugs and missing features like fellowships our nightly events have not started yet. While our members do group on a regular basis, do to long travel times, the size of the world, the large level spread of members, and other game issues, forming a group and getting to the location can take quite some time. It is advised that groups are planned in advance with use of the forums.

The core of this guild will be our Events. We feel that one of the most important aspects of a guilds purpose is to keep their members happy and provide them lots of options to have fun. I'm sure you have been in those guilds before that only focus on one thing, night after night. Lets face it, you can get burnt out real quick that way.

Our Guild's Ruling Council with the help of other members will plan nightly events, each with a different theme. Perhaps one night may be a group quest night, while another will focus on hitting a dungeon and exp grinding. Another night might offer trade skilling, Role Play, or a fun Treasure hunt.

Overall, all events will be voluntary, no one will be barking orders at you or forcing you to do things you don't want to do. But you can expect lots of different events every night providing endless opportunities to do new things and have fun with your friends.

Leadership

The guild is lead by an elected Ruling Council consisting of 5 members. Once elected members of this council hold office for life or until they step down. When a member leaves office the Guild Founder will step into fill that position until a new replacement is elected. An election MUST be held within 30 days of any council member stepping down.

Member's of The Ruling Council will plan events and run the day to day operations. The Ruling council may alter this charter and the pledge at anytime by way of council vote.

Guild Ranks

This guild is laid back and don't require members to do anything they don't want to. We do however have different ranks for members who show an interest in taking on more responsibility. Below is an outline of this.

Apprentice - This is a period of time that lasts about two weeks, when we get to know you, and you get to know us. We consider the two week apprenticeship to be a trial period to make sure our guild is the right family for you.

Journeymen - This is where member who are taking a break from the game will reside. All members not logged in for 30 days will find them selfs here.

Shadow Member - Members of this guild may have as many alts as they like. This rank is where member will place their alts.

Member - This is where most of our members will be for most of their time in the guild. This rank is for your main toon only, the toon you play the most. Here you are free to play the game however you choose. Members may refer new recruits to guild leadership, but don't have the ability to recruit.

Guild Elder - Members who have been part of the guild for at least 3 months and have shown to be very helpful, but are not interested in planning events. Elders also have the ability to recruit new members to the guild.

Ruling Council - A panel of 5 members who work together to handle day to day operations of the guild and vote from time to time on any changes to this charter.
